The Pelt Trader was supposed to be the kids’ friend — the one constant in a forest full of monsters. Night after night, he traded pelts for gear, smiled, joked… until the sun went down one day and he didn’t smile back.

Now the campsite is empty. Kraken’s scream is the only clue left behind. And when the Deer returns, the Trader isn’t the man he remembers — his eyes glow, his voice twists, and something wearing him like a coat demands a trade the Deer can’t accept.

To save his family, the Deer must cross volcanoes, frozen lakes, and corrupted memories… before the Trader’s new “collection” claims its final pelt.
