One year after the events of "Nothing Unusual," Asumi has been experiencing nights where she struggles to concentrate or get any rest. When she DOES manage to sleep, she hallucinates about her mother, Khayme Mayako. However, a new Yokai is wandering through the fields of Tokyo: the Dorotabo. This humanoid demon made of mud and waste is on the run from the Yokai Search Department. The Dorotabo seek revenge on the people who neglected their farmlands and transformed them into mangled scarecrows. Now, a worn-out Asumi will confront her strong new foe, but it turns out that the Dorotabo knows a lot about her and her father, Unobo. Will Asumi uncover the truth about her father, or will she let her trauma and failure consume her?
