Downsizing production again, just drawing whatever scene comes to mind for a small set of characters. Will probably start doing that more often.
In yet another effort to combat my overplanning habit I imposed a few conditions before starting this project to target my weak spots:
No elaborate gimmick to tie the video together (i.e. the things that go in my video titles)
No storyboards, just jump right into sketching keyframes with no prior preparation
Don’t look for a song to use until after all animation is completed (reduces overthinking what will work or not with the song I land on)
Only very important keyframes get construction lines (speeds up inbetweening + breakdowns with looser movement)
Production is limited to four weeks (it took five again lol)
Most of the list boiled down to the mantras “let it be simple”, “this drawing does its job so move on”, and “my god why are you still revising this nobody cares STOP”
