Here we are again with another insightful look into one of Bill’s major inspirations – This video is entirely dedicated to the late, great Will Eisner – The Foundational Graphic Novel Artist.

In this video, Bill reflects on the fortunate honor of having sat next to Eisner at an event, what it was like to speak with him in person, and how much Bill loves his work.

There’s a pretty large collection of Eisner books in Plymptoons Studio, but Bill chose to showcase "A Contract with God" because of the unique panel-to-panel perspective drawings. The story being about New Yorkers surviving in the Bronx in the 30’s and 40’s, Bill describes the graphic novel as "like watching a movie" because of the immersive compositions.

Will Eisner’s legacy continues on with the prestigious "Eisner Award" to signify creative achievement in American comics, as well as the up-coming "Eisner Week" this March of 2026 to inspire Artists to create their own sequential art.
