In Session 1 of his private class videos (Available to Guard Dog Tier +Up), Bill briefly mentions his relationship with the Argentine Illustrator, Painter, and Sculptor.

In this video, Bill elaborates further on notes that were touched upon previously – Use of shadows, mixed media, and having a distinct and identifiable illustrative style.

His story time about meeting Carlos and his wife in-person is a treat, with a wholesome photo to accompany it. Bill’s love for art and his fellow artists still burns strong, remaining a supportive fan of his favorites, even after they’ve passed.

Nine’s clever combination of Realism, Surrealism, and flat-out Cartoony will always be a fascination to those both outside of and within the art world.

As of today, Bill Plympton’s School of Animation will be starting for the first time in years, ushering in the next generation of Animation Filmmakers.
