From Plymptoons.
Bill Plympton’s School of Animation continues with a private lesson for an aspiring animator, where he shares his trade secrets, inspirations, and techniques.
In this session, Mr. Plympton takes his student on a journey through Storyboarding their animation – scene planning and composition, story beats, when to utilize a Close-Up, and building a scene.
Class 4 is the halfway point of our curriculum where the lessons are now comprised less of observational learning and lean farther into hands-on drawing and absorbing the knowledge through experience and experimentation.
Storyboarding is the foundation of all film making – Live-Action and Animation alike, through Film and Television, and a very important skill in the Industry.
