Some of the most explicit showings of Bill Plympton’s work, "Sex and Violence" aired on HBO in the late 90’s.

After some successful festival seasons with his comedic short films, often seen on MTV’s Liquid Television cartoon block or at the Spike and Mike’s Animation Show, Bill really pushes the envelope with this compilation of 24 gags all revolving around 18+ material.

This was not a career pivot in the slightest, as Bill’s early career often involved adult comics and illustrations featured in Screw and Playboy magazines. This series was merely the next step up in his philosophy – Animation is not just for children, it can be for adults too.
